How Can I Get a Copy of the Script?
A limited number of copies are available for loan, upon request and pending availability, by contacting us. You may also find some of these titles at local libraries or by doing a Google search for online retailers. If you need help, let us know.
Is this a paid opportunity?
Lakeside Players Inc. is a volunteer-driven organization and as such, does not have a paid staff. However, the Board of Directors realizes that directing is a large commitment that requires remuneration and the leadership will make available a stipend for your time and talents. You will be contacted with more information during the application process.
What is the time commitment?
Most of our directors choose to hold auditions between 8-10 weeks prior to open and begin rehearsals shortly thereafter. Our network of actors are accomstomed to weekly rehearsals consisting primarly of weekday evenings and occasionally weekend rehearsals. An average rehearsal is between 2 and 3 hours and are often 4 or 5 days a week. The length of a production's run-up and its rehearsal schedule is ultimately up to the director, in consultation with the Board of Directors and the production team.
What about my production team?
